Honda NSX transformed into Ferrari F50
« on: March 09, 2005, 12:23:52 am »
Wow, now that is what i call a transformation. Sorry, its not in English, and the pictures take a while to load up but it is worth the wait to see the end result.

My personal opinion is that the car looked pretty hot as it was before the transformation anyway !

What a waste of a gorgeous car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  >:(

I love the NSX and hate modern Ferraris with a passion. It doesn't even look close. It looks like one of those really bad kit cars of the early 80s like the Bonito GT40 but that didn't involve trashing a real classic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzz, hate to think how much the sad fecker wasted on that!!

Should have spent the money making it into a replica of one of the Kremer NSXs from the mid-90s and that would probably have been about 10% of the budget.

Trash with cash methinks!

The NSX is a really smart, underated supercar that should have sold far more than it did.

Why anyone would want to butcher it is beyond me.  It must be the supposed 'allure' of the prancing horse.  The car looks nothing like a F50 and something like a 'customised' NSX.
Still, it should be okay in an accident as the 'body kit' looks to be make of Jablite floor insulation.  ;)

What a crock of sh*t.

Reminds me of one of those things you see in a museum or art gallery where you think "very impressive but yukk?".

Very skilled but as the others say, the NSX is a cool car why turn it into a pose car.

I guess secondhand NSXs are cheap in Japan, I have a feeling there was also a less powerful 'base model' home market version, perhaps it's one of those.

I'm not entirely sure what is going on here.

I initially thought Japan, but Explorer asks me if I want to install "Simplified Chinesse" before it loads.

If this is China (looks like a disused quary or mine in the background) somebody has an awful lot of time and money on their hands!

Damn Triads I'd say. It reminds me of the guys hooning around in the Honda in Gumball Rally !

And I thought Carlos Fandango packed it all in in the early eighties.......

I agree, what a waste of a lovely car. Very dodgy, but not as dodgy as the lilac coloured overalls the bloke was wearing :-*

Does anyone have the link to the guy who transformed his 80's Merc (cannot remember model) to a Merc SLR?

I had not seen the Benzo SLR conversion either - aside from the unfortunate shut-lines, I thinks it's an astonishing example of craftsmanship and plagurism.
I would imagine the Gnomes of Stuttgart will have sued his conkers off - but still - a very impressive project.
The NSX to Ferrari-like thing demonstrates equal inginuety and fortitude, but does beg the question "Why?"
How's the Mini coming along Robbo? Will we see equally detailed build progress?

Steve, you have to wait for the whole page to load and scroll down to the bottom, it takes minutes even on broadband.

I don't particularly like the end result, but it does look a bit like an F50. Whilst I cant imagine why he did it, (presumably as a bet taken on a drunken night at the local karaoke bar), I do appreciate the fabrication and engineering skills that have gone into this creation, even if the wretched thing is a bunch of toss.
I wouldn't sit there if I were you, it's still a bit wet.

Andy, his time would have been better utilised making a scale model of the Great Wall of China from chopsticks.

I have to agree mate. He's ruined a perfectly nice car and totally wasted his time, but he's done a lovely job of it.
