Michel Vaillant Movie
« on: August 11, 2003, 01:10:23 pm »
I know the free DVD 'Traileur' picked up this year was a bit disappointing - but it looks like the movie filmed at Le Mans in 2002 will be released on 19 November in France.

Official website:         http://www.michelvaillant-lefilm.com/

Distributors website:         http://www.europacorp.com/

1. Does anyone know whether it is due for release in the UK?

2. Does anyone have a 'foreign film' (fnack fnack) cinema near them which is likely to show the film?

3. Can anyone who can parlez Francais email the distributors and find out a bit more about UK release?

I  thought it would be a laugh to get an Official Club Arnage Trip to the cinema - complete with team t-shirts, flags, stubbies and air-horns.

My answers:

Question 1: absolutely no idea...  ???

Question 2: Yes I have  ;)

Question 3: I gonna try to do my best !  8)
Le Mans is life, anything before and after is just waiting...

... it's not the taking part but the winning that counts !

Does it mean that someone bought the car and now is driving it ?

BTW who is able to find and giove me this bloody f**k*ng email adress of someone in Europa Corp, because I'ld like to mail them to know a little bit more about the UK release (and suggest them an Avant Premiere during the 1000 kms...) ?

There's no one on the website.....  >:(

The car was (and still is) owned by Bob Berridge who races it in the FIA Sportscar Championship. His season was interrupted last year while they filmed the post-race stuff as it was on loan to Monsieur Besson and Co.

Still great to see it in the MV colours!

  • You don't win Le Mans - you outlast it.

The photo is from Donington I guess. The car was classed 9th overall but didn't finish the race due to trouble with the drive in the second last lap. Amanda Stretton (a guy with tits) was the co driver. You can expect to see the car at LM next year. The plan is to enter the car with an all Lady driver line up.
Interesting to see that the Lucchini SR2 went third just 1 minute down to the winning RfH Dome, well done.
I don't care - I'm a racing driver and I'm here to win, not to finish third.

If you do get hold of a distributor of this film can you ask if when they produce it on DVD they put an English sound track option..

You might mention the Le Mans interest with us Brits.
