What car ? Porsche 961
Which year ? 1986
Who were the drivers ? Claude Ballot-Lena  and Rene Metge
Where on the track is the picture taken ? Ford chicane
I don't care - I'm a racing driver and I'm here to win, not to finish third.

Wow, hgb, good job! Just the last one is not correct, it was not the Ford Chicanes. Another guess?

The other direction, first corner of the track of course.

I would say that its the end of the pit staight, Where the Dunlop chicane is now.
Some people will tell you that slow is good - and it may be, on some days - but I am here to tell you that fast is better.

yes, hgb and nordic, got it right now. This was actually the last year of the old high-speed dunlop-curve, one year later a chicane was added. At the start of this 1986 race, we saw 4 Porsche 962 side by side trying to squeeze through this high speed curve, it was mind-boggling

Cheers
