Well done Ian....not bad for first time at Longleat!!!!

Pretzel should have the photo's now and is doing the magic that I was unable to perform

Wishy

Yep - well done Ian. I NEARLY got to come down but getting prepared for a well earned holiday took precedence. What was the winning margin, and how many in the class?

Wishy - I received your e-mail but my newly installed OE6 quarantined the attachment staying there was a problem. Hope there was no infection....

Could you try re-sending it to pb21@acw.co.uk and I'll let you know how I get on.

Hi Pretzel

Winning margin was about a 1.5 secs.  Beaten by a driver who's done Longleat several times, driving a replica Lotus 23B (circa early 1960's) with a 1700cc Lotus TC.  Similar BHP, but bags more torque.  It's a great hill to drive.  Classes were almalgamated due to low entries for the classes.  Was quckest off the line, in our Class, all day.  Quickest into the split as well, just not enough grunt to get out of the very tight hairpin, near the finish.

Nice pic Ian. Shows the Westy in just the right sort of attitude. Who took it?

Shame I still cannot do anything with the pics sent to me by Wishywashyman. Some problem still with my mail software!

Will check in on the message board while sunning ourselves in the Canaries.

Just off now to pack for the flight out tomorrow.........

The piccy was taken by Derek Hibbert, a professional photographer who is a regular at Gurston.  For £30 I've a CD with all the photos he took of the "beast" that meeting.  It's a lot cheaper than getting prints done of all the shots.
