XJR9, Brands Hatch 1000ks, Druids, no idea the rest. Nor what colour underpants the driver was wearing.
I wouldn't sit there if I were you, it's still a bit wet.

  • You don't win Le Mans - you outlast it.

That's either the XJR9 #588 (1) with John Nielsen, Andy Wallace and Martin Brundle or it's the XJR9 #688 (2) with Jan Lammers and Johnny Dumfries or it's the XJR9 #187 (3) with John Watson and Davy Jones. The result was 1, 2, 3. Anything else ?  ::)  ;D
I don't care - I'm a racing driver and I'm here to win, not to finish third.

OK Andy is right with the circuit, corner, model and event & hgb has the correct chassis number (688 for number 2) but must be confusing years as the race was won by a Sauber C9 and the highest placed Jag was 5th (the Lammers/Tambay XJR-11).

So what year is it, who were the drivers and what happened to the car?

Ah! So I can deduce this wasn't the year that they held the Brands Hatch 1000k at Silverstone then? And ergo, it cannot also be the year that Brundle had terrible diarrhoea after a dodgy kebab in Swanley High Street. Therefore it must be...

erm...

1986?

Opps  ::)  The XJR9 was only build in 1988. So, if the car is correct then it must be 1989 or later.

From your clues, I think it sounds like 1989. But if it was '89 then  it was the 480kms at Brands and not 1000kms?? Lammers and Tambay certainly came 5th in the race.

So I guess it's the XJR-9 of Nielson/Wallace that crashed after 101 laps.
