1949, Monopole-Simca of de Montrémy and Dussous ? I take it that the "Monopole" has nothing to do with the german Monopol BMW of Herman Polensky (Mono[posto] Pole[nsky]) that came up in Germany just after WW2 ? Forgot to add: The picture was taken at Mulsanne.

Car looks far too advanced for post war 49. Also seems to have radial tyres and the driver is wearing a later helmet IMO.

This Monopole is a brand of Floquet Monopole company, a valve and segment manufacturer, which was a great sponsor during these years
