Arnage campsite
« on: January 03, 2011, 11:22:55 am »
Morning all and a Happy New Year

I'm thinking of setting up shop down at the corners this year.  I'm interested in Arnage but can't think where the campsite is and where the entrance to it is.  When going to watch at Arnage I usually pop into the car park that is on the right hand side of the one way system and then cross the road into the track.

I have a feeling it may be behind the food and beer tents on the trackside, is this right?  If so, how do you get your car in and out???

Cheers chaps

Never argue with an idiot, they'll only drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Yup

As per photo in CA Guide, vehicle (& pedestrian) entrance to campsite is immediately on right hand side of billetrerie/pedestrian entrance to Arnage corner viewing. No problems during race apart from the one-way circuit traffic jams.

Notice Arnage tickets now on sale on ACO site: had a small moment after 6 December as they were not there - only Beausejour/Dairon etc. Asked my French contact to try work things out which he has, but his email confirmed what we always knew, (and made me laugh!)
Indeed , it seems it's complicated this year to get "Aire d'Accueil Arnage" tickets .
After reading your mail this morning , i called the ACO . The answer was incredibly confused , but I've understood that this year , priority is given to the ACO members .
They cannot say if there's still places for sale because the totality of the orders is not yet treated !!
{this was on 16 December!}
After the ACO members' orders , the others will be treated in chronological order .
So , i sent immediately a mail ordering 6 places (including one for you) . An answer should be given in a few days .
I'll also see , if i buy an inscription of ACO member , it's not too late to help to get places .
Every year , we improve but every year , ACO is more and more complicated ...What a sh*t!...

Our allocation was OK'd on 22 December.
