A bunch of us went to Le Mans this year for the first time, and as motor racing nuts we had an awesome time. The only thing was we went on an organised coach tour that left Dover late Thursday night/early friday morning, spent friday in Paris, then drove to Le Mans on Saturday morning. With heav traffic in the Le Mans area, plus stopping at the supermarket, then putting up our tents in the car park, we didn't arrive trackside till 3pm-ish. We got a decent view of the start etc., and plenty of time to explore the track during the rest of the day, evening, night etc. but would have liked to got there earlier.
We are going again in 2004, but would like to get there earlier, on the Thursday for example, and camp there. However, with about 8 or so of us from around the country meeting up and going, it's going to be difficult, as hardly any of us drive. I was wondering if any of you experienced guys could help us out, if you know any coach tours, or anything that get there mid-week time, or any way we can get there fairly easily bearing in mind we will need to take bags, tents etc. with us.
Thanks for your help.
Mike
