Jock Simpson, whose 'jox jottings' have graced these pages and the Le Mans blog over many years, was taken to St Thomas hospital recently due to an abrupt worsening of an existing condition that was thought to be under control. He spent a month in Intensive Care but is now out of immediate danger. He will have to recover in hospital at least until after Christmas, and then will need to recuperate at home (or possibly with family as he lives alone) for a few more weeks or months.

Jock is self employed and has been off work now for nearly two months and will not be able to resume for a while yet. If any CA regulars would like to contribute to a 'joxcare' fund for our old chum to aid his recovery, please reply to this post and we will set something up.

Yes, indeed! And speedy recovery to Jox. I've always enjoyed his reports from the moment I joined CA.

Wishing him all the best.

Get well soon Jock and hope to see you at La Sarthe again in the summer - it was great to catch up with you at last year's race.

Very sorry to hear you have been grog Jock. We will have a cold one (or two) waiting for you at Mulsanne again in June - I am sure SC will be happy to run you down there again. All the best for a speedy recovery.
