Over half of the speedtraps are portable.

The one that nearly got me was stood behind an estate car, leaning on the roof.  Another was on a bridge.

The fixed ones are well signposted

Additionally I purchased a new copy of the "Michelin Atlas Routier France 2008" last week, which gives the locations of all "radars fixes"

Happy to advise of their location if you give me your route.

Is there a deal between the UK and Froggies when it comes to speeding fines??? Last year I speeded past a lot of cameras and saw the flash multiple times, but I've never received a fine here in Denmark.

I don't think we have such an arrangement so that the french police can fine me, if not stopped and forced to pay in cash.

Lewis Hamilton was banned from driving in France, and France only.

So I do not think that there is a bilateral agreement on speeding fines.

At least I hope not as I got flashed by a camera in Reims last Sunday  Grin

Was that because Lewis claims not to have seen there little car parked with break lights on and just thought - 'i dont like you much' and drove straight into the back of them - to ban him for that just seemed unreasonable - also to dock him 10 beers the next year was just a sham

Hi,

Hopefully this might be useful too.. Indeed, I have been 'trapped' by the little tinkers (but then at 198kmh I accept responsibility - my fault for missing the Roeun turn-off!). For sure, have with you your V5 as well as the usual insurance / driving licence docs, and a map of the nearest ATM!
