Lemans 2013 is looming and I’ve realised that I’ve lost / misplaced my old trusty Walkman radio that I use to listen to Radio Lemans. Has anyone any suggestions regarding a new handheld / pocket radio say sub £20? I don’t want to use my phone as it will cost data & also would DAB work at lemans at all?

Any links etc would be fantastic – I will be buy 2 of said radio if that helps

I use my old Nokia handsets (most have a radio app.) with the SIM card removed.
I think I have something like an 8210 with 2 batteries an those last pretty much the whole week...............................

Every household must have at least one Nokia tucked away in a drawer somewhere.

Try this, bit more than £20 but well worth the extra money: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Roberts-Sports-2-Band-Synthesised-Personal/dp/B000VIA6LE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1358170773&sr=8-1

Kev - if you listen to pocket music players regularly, it's also worth investing in a decent set of earphones - noise isolation is key to hearing wtf is going on when 50 cars come flying past at race pace (50 Audis would be OK I guess....)

I use Westone UM1's for when I'm playing with the band, for my in ear monitors - and I can confirm that they will block out the worlds loudest drummer at 5 ft away.....

Otherwise, Sony do some cheap isolating earphones which are pretty good performers, and Sennheisers CX300's aren't too expensive either.

Hope this helps.

Headphones ive got sorted. Well I will have them sorted as my decent headphones got returned to fix a manufacturing fault only for the company to not return them after 3 months (still ongoing) but my credit card should be refunding me to get another pair elsewhere. Hence just need a radio
