After more than 10 years and more than 2.200 posts - is there finally a Modern Commer Replacement?

My goodness - over 10 years since the first post - hasn't the time has flown by....finally got my arse on gear and pulled the engine out of the MGA this afternoon to get it off to the machinists next week (little end bearing knock and reduced oil pressure after many years of exuberant use since the last rebuild). All being well, it should be back in and working in time for Le Mans (this year...).

Look forward to the impending announcement - the content of which could vary at one extreme of "here's this year's poster with a Commer" to the other of "I've just bought the Commer back".  Anything is possible....

I almost thought I'd found the ideal replacement, but I can't see any for sale.

At least the Haynes Manual is still available

He's not buying anything, it's just a pathetic attempt to resurrect a tired old thread that ran out of steam years ago. As Mark points out, it is now 10 years old, and that's 10 years, 151 pages and 2256 posts of mind numbing drivel and nonsense. For Gods sake if you're going to replace the thing get your finger out and spare us all from this infernal thread.

But this thread is like an old ex-girlfriend who has gone to seed slightly. Nothing much to look at, but occasionally fun to hang out with.  ;)
