There is a guy on Twitter with a blue Commer running a Ford 302 out of a Mustang. Everything else looks stock  ;D

I should have mentioned, this year’s race marked the 20th anniversary of the Commer’s inaugural trip to Le Mans.

I’m happy to report the Commer remains in the hands of the guy I sold it to and is partly restored. Currently tucked away under cover awaiting happier days.

Meanwhile here’s a great YouTube link to the V8 Commer above. Smokin’!

I wouldn't sit there if I were you, it's still a bit wet.

Annual thread bump for MCR

Not a Commer but a closely related Bedford van restoration by Trev of @TrevsBlog.

Next June will be the 20th anniversary of our first trip down in the Merc Vito. The week before the race we took the bulkhead out, bought a bus seat from the scrap yard and bolted it to the floor. No seatbelts or windows in the back and six of us squeezed in. It was packed to the roof with crap and the back doors popped open on the M1 going over the bridge over the River Trent at 2am  ;D ;D

I remember passing the Commer on that hill just off the ring road on the way home. happy times

Glad to say she is still in my ownership and going well at 198,000 miles young.
