The theory that if you had it last year you will always make the cut hasn't worked for us - we've been on Houx and Houx Annexe for many years but were twice put on the wait list even though we applied in June. Our view become that it was better to get tickets via UK agent (eg Just Tickets) - you pay a bit more, but it takes the worry out of it. We paid in full a couple of weeks ago fyi.

One less thing to go wrong we hope...Toady

Do you still have you choice of venue/ campsite , and can you post their contact details ( too lazzy to search the web or phone book )

Yes - lots of choice if you book with them in June - I think they get a guaranteed block of tickets from the ACO to sell on. I've heard it's a goodly share of MB these days. Not sure what might be left now, but here's a link

http://justtickets.co.uk/lemans/lemans.htm

Also if you want the other UK agents, they are all on our links page -

Best of luck! Toad

And I'm hoping to get it again at Christmas.

Don't forget the ACO seem to have jacked up the prices somewhat this year

Hate to be boring but I'm going to be anyway. I have just checked with the ACO regarding Maison Blanche tickets (booked on Tuesday of raceweek, as usual) and been told:
"we have not yet allocated booking from June, but we can already that we will not be able to allocate you places in the Maison Blanche"

I guess the gist of this means time to talk to those nice, economic, suppliers of complete hostility, whoops, hospitality packages, MRI again..............
Just Tickets are reciting "All campsites are sold out at the moment"
B*gger, blast etc. etc. not again, etc.

Does that mean Smokies mega request has been accepted then ?  Grin

It seems to me that the ACO don't like dealing with individuals (especially those that don't speak French), so by selling to operators it makes their lives much easier - hence I think more and more tickets will be sold in this way, each year letting down more people who have been members for many years. Call me a sad cynical old so and so, but it's my experience anyway...

It's all relative - in 2002 we had to pay over £300 per plot (6m x3m) for a space on the Airtrack "VIP" campsite (it was round at Technoparc). We needed 3! - so our current deal seems just fine as a low risk low hassle investment!
