Some time ago I came across a web site with details of things you can do with CDs.  As I'm sure you all know Writing a CD is called Burning or Roasting.  Well this site showed how to "Roast" a CD using a Microwave Oven.  Needless to say I had to have a go.  You can see the results at http://tmdg.co.uk/movies/

It struck me I could take the Oven on tour.   Tickets for the show will be on sale a week before the event.  To save on cost the tickets will be downloadable for free so you can print your own.

I dont belive I have just watched some one closing a microwave door three times Undecided
But bring it along to BJ, I have a few CD's that could do with "burning" Cher, Blue (the daughter will not be too pleased!) New Seakers (dont ask)

Intresting poll would be,

Which albums do we put in the microwave?

 Cheesy
Bobble I think there will be time to cook all of them.   I only did four or five seconds in the house as I didn't want run the risk of any damage to the house,
It will be fun to try  cooking the CDs for say 2 minutes.

I've done a little more googleing and found that there are a number of other item we can toast.  I've already found a nice Fluresent tube we can try,  Other things include "superheated water"  and melting Glass in a microwave.

I have an old laptop that is in need of repair so we can try what we can get on the cracked LCD display.

Other events include grape racing.

I may also have an old set of Xmas lights so we can put on a nice festive show.  (As seen on TV  :-)

I still have to find the receipe for the Grand Finale in which we "Blow the Bloody Door Off!"

I think this will be both an entertaining and educational Le Mans this year.

Great stuff TM.

I hope they name the crater after you (I mean the one you leave after the Grand Finale). This will certainly spark the things a little bit. Grin Grin Grin

So, what seats are left?

Anyone remember Clarkson a few years back, did a few interesting things with 240V and common vegetables, The chicken/bin cannon was also quite good.

Now , anyone tried microwaving a dead battery?

I don't mind trying the nails in a Cucumber and so on.

The dead battery is a deffinate NO,NO  I suspect it could end up in a situation where "You we're only Supposed to blow the Boody Door off !"  would be appropriate.    A battery is too strong a seal to risk attempting it.

I belive the Recipe for Blowing the door off is to use a box of eggs but I'm still  researching that.
