Does anybody know if there are any plans to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the 1955 accident on June 11th or at any time during the week?

You're either at Le Mans, or waiting for Le Mans!

Probably not Barry. The ACO don’t seem to want it remembered. Sees it only warrants a tiny plaque on the pit straight wall

That's what I understood and expected.
Shame especially as most of the people killed were locals.

Our group will be having a toast to 1955, but specially for our own lost companion (Probably at Tertre Rouge) bar 18.36 on Wednesday 11th.

Roger Vernon Price was at the 1955 event and only moved away from the circuit to re-load some camera film preventing him from being in the firing line!
He sadly passed away on 6th April this year after a long fight with bowel cancer, aged 88.
I knew him for many years at the end of his life but he had never returned to LM after 1955!

He was featured in the book, Le Mans Winning Colours after I interviewed him for Mick Hill.

His favourite beer Doombar and favourite snack, penguins all round for us!
