Well, my tickets still haven't arrived, so I guess that's it.
Come the day could someone check out grandstand 6 near the front. if there's what looks like a row of off duty posties (they will probably still have their caps on), sitting there grinning, then lob a grenade at them for me.
Hopefully see you all 2005......
Yours in despair,
H

Thanks PM, I was sort of half joking (said through clenched teeth), as the b*stards have my money, then surely it's only a matter of time before the tickets arrive. I got the impression that everyone else who ordered through the ACO have already got theirs (?), which is a result really, as I'm sure there are years when I've waited until June before they've eventually got here.
I'll be there to pop a cold one by hook or by crook...

PS congratulations to PM junior on his rugby success - give him a clip round the ear-ole on me!

Big H - I saw a post a while ago from someone who got replacement tickets. I think this is the one instance the ACO are better placed to help than any of the ticket agents. All the best of luck from those at Beermountain - hope this works it's self out - after all if they have charged you. Come to think of it though, after the film about UK posties though, it may be worth checking the front of your grandstand!!!

The charming ladies at the ACO sent our tickets by UPS next day for me the week before PQ.

I had to sign for the package, so this should (?) ensure you get your tickets.

However, I've just seen a Gloucestershire Old Spot circling around next doors chimney  ???

We still don't hove our tickets yet.   But then last year they only arrived the day we left that is the Tuesday morning before the race.   If they have taken your mooney by Card then I woudl think  your pretty safe in knowing you'll get them.

Cor Blimey,
The ACO have just replied to an e-mail to let me know that my tickets were despatched on the 16th April!!
They usually send'em special delivery so I should have had the little rascals by now, a little spittle on the gunsight should sort the postie out, and then things will get a little interesting.
Can any lucky ticket holders out there confirm their despatch/receipt dates? Poor old Albert's going to have to start tunnelling now!

H

Mine were dispatched recorded delivery on about the 12th April, I was away for the week and upon my return there was a little card through the door telling me to pick up my letter from Haywards Heath sorting office. I went into the "customer services" office and the first thing I saw was a brass plaque on the wall. It commemorated a man called David "Dixie" Dean 1937 -2001, underneath it bore the legend "I know its (sic) here somewhere". Whilst Dean was a fine footballer, the master of the dribble, he evidently didn't know much about the postal system.

In short, I think you can safely assume your tickets are "lost" and I would contact the ACO accordingly. I would not recommend gunning down your postie though. Unless they have changed policy in their efforts to "manage down" staff numbers, the GPO take a dim view and will generally prosecute customers who abuse, threaten or murder Post Office employees. You could face a hefty fine.

BTW I hear the Surrey Post Office Sports and Social Club are doing LM this year....
I wouldn't sit there if I were you, it's still a bit wet.

Andy,
It's becoming clearer....
The ACO now say that the first e-mail about a sending date was incorrect, and in fact they forgot to charge me for delivery, and so haven't delivered. Ah well, I hope the tickets are still there.

Has anybody recieved tickets, including Bleu camping, direct from ACO yet?
I'm wondering if they have only got around to sorting out MB tickets so far.

H - I had a similar situation a couple of years ago (ACO hadn't charged delivery). I decided the safest option was to collect on arrival - it's easy, at the rotunda.

Our Invoice that came with our tickets was dated the 30/3/2004. The postman delivered them 10 April 2004 (Easter Weekend).
