Does anyone know if we could get a hotel at this late stage near the circuit, this is our contingency plan if we cant get our tents down to the Houx Annexe?Huh? How about the Concorde... Smiley

Are you insane ?  Tongue

Finding an available room in Le mans at this period could only be a miracle or a HUGE question of money.

I let you see first with the Hotel Concorde (00 33 2 43 24 12 30 or by mail lemans@concorde-hotels.com)

In a second time I can only advice you to look after a gite rural or a guesthouse in the country around the track. Some opportunites may be still available...

go down to Le mans.
Find a pitch.
One stays with all kit on pitch
Other nips off to local super martket and buys 2 tents and  a couple of sleeping bags total spend £80?
Cheaper than a hotel for a couple of nights

Out of interest, and boredom obviously, I got a quote for some local hotels from an agency. Instead of the usual 50 Euros a night, they were asking 500.
I'd rather sleep with Uncle 'you can't give the baby booze!' Peter...

Liszt is right it is so cheep to buy a tent at Carrefour, may be les that the £80 and arnage is free camping first come first in. or the local residents will let you camp in garden for £20 if you have the lingo and the gonads to ask.
good luck
