Bad Weather
« on: July 08, 2004, 05:15:36 pm »
With all the news on TV lately about the extreme weather conditions affecting the East Coast of the US, the mud slides in the Middle East and South America, along with the dire predictions made by such films as The Day After Tomorrow, we shouldn't forget that England has its share of devastating weather too.

I've attached a photo illustrating the damage caused to a friend's home from a storm that passed through Southern England last night. It really makes you cherish what you have, and reminds us not to take things for granted.

Is there a fund for the survivors of this most catastrophic of events? I'd like to help if at all possible.

Spat my shrimp penne pasta alfredo all over my keyboard. Funniest gag in weeks - well done Steve.

I wouldn't sit there if I were you, it's still a bit wet.

Splendid performance Mr. Brown! Thankfully I had already finished my croque monsieur so I had nothing to spit out over my keyboard!

yep that was nearly as good as the results of a couple of years back when Houx was hit by the Biblical rain storm.

Steve, that was a terrible storm and to do that to your friends home was awful. I can tell from the minimal colour density change that it was almost brand new. Pass our condolences to the poor owner won't you?

Almost like something from a biblical epic, lightning striking the contented, maybe some one up there is starting a new preaching campaign...

Mr. Brown, if I wore  a hat I would take it off.
The more I look at this the funnier it  gets.
If there was a nobel prize available for catastrophic documentation, you would be the man.
I stand in awe. Pure class.

Blimey Steve, my heart goes out the guy. I dread to contemplate what his premiums must be now....

Who's gonna pay for this ? Surely not the insurance, it's an act of God.
I don't care - I'm a racing driver and I'm here to win, not to finish third.
