Thats a bummer, but put it this way.

Car falls into harbour - crane sent to hoist car out not set up right and follows car into harbour, bigger crane needed to hoist them both out, all captured on an amusing sequence of pictures

Needs the pictures really.

Yup, I can see the pictures now.
Pretty inevitable really.  Notice the first crappy crane (really only the sort that delivers pallets of bricks to sites etc) has no side support legs out.
Also, the crane should have an overweight alarm / trip - no doubt bypassed to enable them to continue the lift.

No sympathy  Roll Eyes

Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

I have spent (wasted?) the last  26 years of my life working in car recovery in one form or another. Those picures just take the banana. Absolutely rock solid story of How Not To!

Looking at the number plates (wot my tired old eyes can't make out) I'd suggest that it might have been somewhere in Ireland. Not (Maybe sadly) in Germany as the last user on that site suggested.... The fact that lots of the vehicles pictured suggest a tax break available for van type motors over those with side windows, gives this theory some likelihood.

Well spotted Nordic, made my day.

Bill.
