My lot drive down and have a hoot, last year was ace even though we have a bloomin trailer on and the weather was a little hit and miss.

We had a convoy, did silly overtake ( usually me ) and one got robbed by the plod.

We have these radio things and generally piss about. We go over-night and the arrival on thursday morning is relaxed with time for brekkie and enough stops for the over night beer to get out.

I love the drive down, its my sisters fav bit, but then she has a proper play toy.

Couldnt face a huge drive from Calais. Its pointles. I live in Portsmouth.

If only you camped on Maison Blanche. We're looking at 2 fridges and a freezer for this year!!

Personally I have been known to make the journey on foot from Plymouth to Le Mans and back. It's far cheaper going from Plymouth to Roscoff, then via train to Le Mans from Morlaix. The other ferry services all seem to jack their prices up in Le Mans week.

Also, I usually walk from Le Mans train station to the track and seem to get there far more quickly than if I'd driven.

If anybody is heading down via Plymouth on the Tuesday night ferry from Plymouth for Le Mans 2005, have a good one.

How about leaving Dover at 6am on Wednesday? Can we expect a traffic jam then?

Still it beats being in a coach stuck tantalising close to the track on race morning...

We're on the 07:45 Speedferries sailing from Dover to Boulogne on Wednesday.
We've previously had a later crossing and the traffic was fine.
