« on: December 19, 2004, 05:25:59 pm »
Does anyone have a copy of the actual entry list for 1971 including vehicle information, chassis numbers etc?

Thanks
Jim Keller

It's not all of what you asked for but it is a start..

Welcome Jim. You'll find a lot of the information you need here
http://www.teamdan.com/archive/wsc/1971/71lemans.html
although by no means all the chassis numbers are there. At least the practice times are there. I've checked some of the chassis numbers given, and they seem OK, although the number for the 2nd place Attwood/Muller car is open to discussion. I'll come back to you on that and any other facts I can dig up.
By the way 1971 was the first year the race had a rolling start.

  • You don't win Le Mans - you outlast it.

http://www.classicscars.com/wspr/results/lemans/lemans1971.html shows the race results plus the chassis numbers of some of the entered cars.
I don't care - I'm a racing driver and I'm here to win, not to finish third.

Looks like you're right, my Nobby friend!
I'll leave the rest of the research until our new pal emerges.

Lots of good information.
What I am really looking for is tha chassis number of Guy Edwards / Roger Enevers Lola T212.
Does anybody know what it was?

Thanks,
Jim Keller
