Someone mentioned to me last year that there was a motorway being built between Calais and Le man, as I was half cut at the tetre rouge at the time could anyone tell me if this is true?

It was being built last year and was well underway for during the classic weekend but will not unless miracles occur be open for this year. The french do seem to open stretches of the unfinished motorways as they build them but it causes massive tailbacks as they go back to the old road.

Images of 2001 when the Alencon-Le Mans autoroute was not quite finished!!!!!

The part Toll Motorway between Calais & Rouen was finished a few years back.

The 2nd stage between Rouen & Lemans is being built in stages. Parts are complete & the rest should be finished in time for 06.
