Sebring
« on: March 20, 2005, 07:16:39 pm »
So the Astons won the class, (BRAVO) the Massers where allowed to race despite the protests. Be interested to see the response from the ACO on this issue as it seems to upset them that  this seems to break their ALMS rules. I dont think the issue will finish here!!!
Le Mans is for life, not just for Christmas

  • You don't win Le Mans - you outlast it.

I can live with them being banned from GT and being allowed to GTP. Still, looking back at the race they don't seem to be as strong as they pretend.
I don't care - I'm a racing driver and I'm here to win, not to finish third.

well after seeing the massaratti in action first hand at Sebring I thought  they ran well. aside from having an off at turn 7 at sunset they kept themselves pretty clean

Don't forget they were running with a fair bit of ballast. It would be interesting to see how they would have faired without it.

Still would have lost to the Aston!!!   ;D

I asked Dave Richards wife to take my camera into their enclosure in the paddock to photograph the trophey and she said it would be easier to go in with her and take it myself!

The thing is Brian the whole thing is so much more accessible. Everyone has access to the paddock (a bit like PQ's last year) and the fences at a lot of the viewing areas were only 4 feet high.

Here's one. Having it's tail sniffed as it comes out of the chicane. Poor quality, sorry.
