Nice pictures Steve, I couldn't help but notice how clean and tidy the camping pitches looked compared to the average LM bombsites.

There were loads of oil drum style bins. The CA campsite had at least two or three to itself.

A lot of the Americans take RV's (Motor Homes to you and I) and they even provided a service where they came round and emtied your waste tank for you!!

The ACO could learn a lot!!

Did you have the US version of a pikey invasion after the race or is that a European thing. Mind you with the American gun laws I suppose it is legal to shoot vermin.

Once again, great photos Steve. I think you will agree Sebring has it all over LM when comparing picture taking possibilities for non professional photographers. I just looked through my pics and there are very few obstructed photos, no catch fences, no railings and best of all no super camera zooms are needed. I also agree with you JPC, the are a few things that the ACO could and should learn.

What would a direct comparison of ticket prices be, ACO versus Sebring?

H, a 4 day pass (including entry and all 4 days racing but without access to the grandstand) cost $85 each (or $75 advance ticket).
Car parking on site (camping free) for a car was $10.

So pretty reasonable I'd say - £40 buys you 4 days racing and parking / camping against nearly twice that at LM.

Great shots Steve. Pleased to see you got some cheeky candid ones of a few people, always the best way to get people if you ask me.

Sebring ticket prices are cheaper than LM. Having said that I've always thought LM was pretty reasonable anyhow. It's the one thing regarding the ACO that I've never really complained about. Having said that, the facilities at Sebring were better. Not perfect, but definitely better. And the trackside viewing is miles ahead of LM, as has been said ad nauseum.
I wouldn't sit there if I were you, it's still a bit wet.

Steve,

Excellent pictures - it sounds remarkably like the balance of attraction (or at least some of it, like valure for money, decent campsites, good viewing etc etc) is shifting across the pond.

Steve,

Not yet - must admit only had time for a quick scan this time - work really is getting to the point of interfering with the primary duty of motorsport and its appreciation far too much!

Great Photos. Love the trophy on the DB9 in the pits.

Did I miss the Rollcentre car or was it invisible to your camera (it appeared invisible to the Motors TV cameras)?

Thanks

No not invisible, but didn't last long in the race though. Check out my picture in one of the other Sebring topics.
