Insurance Cover

I think this may have been covered in another thread, but just a reminder to check your insurance cover, as some policies only cover you for third party when driving abroad. I have upgraded mine to fully comp for the week and they only charged £10.

Yep, that's why a Green Card is desirable (but not legally required).

Without it, many insurances only provide the minimum legal cover for whichever country you happen to be in. E.g. in UK this would be Third Party only. The Green Card ensures your fully comp stays active overseas.

So I heard anyway.

I recently changed to SAGA (yes, I am old), and their policy covers you for unlimited travel abroad - the same cover as you have in the UK.  The premium was £6 more than the cheapest other one I could find, which only covered me for 120 days abroad.
