What amazes me about the current ashes series is the people who couldn't give a monkey about cricket at the start, now talk about cricket as though they have been following it for years.

Never argue with an idiot, they'll only drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Fran, after giving your question very serious consideration... Ain't no way I could consider you a hermaph... thingy, thingy. And Rhino, I think the way the latest test series has panned out HAS raised my cricketeering from its recent low, low, low to a reasonable level again. At last.

You're right though, there are some special women who like sport but mostly your lot's eyes glaze over at the very mention of it. I think this kind of women has nuts. That's the big difference. Is that nuts as in balls? Or did you mean to say that women whose eyes glaze over at the mention of sport are nuts? Babelfish translates nuts as balls...

If you meet Doris at Le Mans? Doris obviously has "soul" as well as "balls" I doubt that she would have important bits off any of us for loving sport. In fact "grovel, grovel" I expect she could even explain offside to me so that even I understand it... (And I played footie for years without quite believing why offside was important!) OK Miss Bitch? Will that be all right Ma'am? I can't wait for Saturday when we finally show the forexxers what real cricket is. Ah the offside rule. The one they keep changing to keep everybody slightly confused. Best explained over a few pints I've always found. Saturday will be a great day. Firstly the Wallabies are going to lose to the All Blacks giving NZ victory in the Tri Nations, and then England are going to kick Aussie butt at The Oval. Oh, and there's also the small matter of a world cup qualifier in Wales I belive. All in all, a great weekend for sport.

I don't think anyone will have trouble getting into the Oval this Saturday. The deciding test starts on Thursday 8th.
It's the C&G at Lords on saturday, Hants v Yorks. I'm not sure if Warne, Petersen etc will be playing though.

Andy
Not sure if I'm right but being from Yorkshire I thought Hants panned Yorks in the Semi-finals

They certainly did Whitey!!
It's Hants v Warks on Saturday. Apparently the ECB have given permission for the English test players to join their counties and play in the final, so Pieterson will be there. Not sure if Australia have donw the same or not though (doubt it!) so we probably won't have Warne. Bell and Giles should be available for Warwickshire too.
Ironically, Hants and Warks are playing each other in a 4 day county championship game at The Rose Bowl at the moment which finishes on Friday.
