Andy

thats the current thinking, something along the lines of a team endurance race.  If we use buckmore the minimum is 18 people.

Buckmore are sending info through to me, shall be putting on the thread in the next couple of days.

I'm sure I can raise some interest from my gang if you want teams.
Buckmore is only 12 miles from me so no excuses for not turening up.
Trouble is that most of us are fat arses so no chance of us winning anything other than the dangerous driving award.

Rusty, thinking of a "weighting" or handicap system to make it as fair as possible also prizes for fastest and furthest so we can recognise the young and slim as well.

Mr F Spider has contacted me with a request to clean up this thread and make it sticky (err...are they compatible I wonder??), seeing as it is raising a fair bit of interest (especially now that we are in the "close" season"!).

So I've done that. Chit chat elsewhere please.

btw Ferrari, NormanD also expressed interest my delete finger got over-excited. Will drop him a mail to ask him to re-register his interest.

Depending on how long the endurance race is going to last, I would recommend teams of not more than (ideally) three to (max) four people. It gets boring otherwise, all the pacing around waiting for your turn, knowing you can do a better job than your team mates.
I wouldn't sit there if I were you, it's still a bit wet.

dependant on what you're driving i would agree mr zarse....

if we go for the thunder karts at Buckmore then any more that 20 mins is gonna kill us all.....

If you go for Club 100, theyre a bit less physical and a bit more "whoooosh" so you can easily manage 40 mins in one.....

if you want the whooosh and the hard work factor, you need to buy ya own kart, gearbox, or even a 100cc is pretty hard going!

Team Tres Hombres are primed and ready to enter and accept defeat graciously.

If there's enough of us why not look for somewhere that can offer us camping for a beer / barbecue evening.
Alternatively, somewhere near a cheap hotel for a complete session.

Count us in!

Steve

I'm up for it. Might be able to drag another couple of numpties along if it's a team event.
