GA Entrance Ticket
« on: January 12, 2006, 04:10:49 pm »
For our sins and not getting what we wanted from the ACO, i have just ordered some stand tickets through MRI. The tickets come with the good old GA entrance ticket, when i asked if i could get the GA ticket in time for the practice weekend i was told that this ticket no longer covered this weekend !!!  :(

Does anyone know if this is true?

Nah they're wrong.

The official site has a booking booklet (http://www.lemans.org/24heuresdumans/live/ressources/pdf/billet_24h2006.pdf) which says that the Enceinte Generale @ €60 is for test weekend and race week.

Therer are tickets for test weekend plus one practice session, or Sunday only, but none for race weekend only.

btw the same document states clearly that "after booking a camping area you have a 35m2 space (7 x 5) for car & tent....from the Wed onwards. Earlier nights are extra"

It goes on to say that "only Houx are numbered".

I didn't pay "early nights" supplement last year but I did in 2004. I hope the 7x5 rule is waived on the Golden Triangle... Houx has always been numbered, but the significance is that they haven't got round to numbering anywhere else...

Yes, smokie is right (well, the ACO-site says so anyway).

And here's some more work for Andy Zarse, should be an easy one to get the Commer in ;D

... Houx has always been numbered....

Depends how you define 'always'.  It wasn't numbered up to the last time I stayed there in early 90's.  They closed it for a year and rebuilt it 93/94 timeframe, and they numbered it when they reopened it.
