This ones well dodgy , so look but dont click.

Look up cars, BMW on ebay and look for the 2006 BMW 745i, interesting choice of photo.

If you click on the link it will almost immediately take you to a dodgy sign in page.

I've reported it to ebay so it shpuldn't be around for long.

I must stop looking at Ebay, - not that I want to buy these.

From the man who brought U the Batmobile, look at these, love the stupid prices,

As someone said, "you can only it sell it once."

To see more, got to http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Barris-Ohrberg-Camel-Publicity-Car_W0QQitemZ190113784551QQihZ009QQcategoryZ2192QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem and see other items for sale.

I remember an ad from last year worded virtually the same. Seems like this person in Horley is making a habit of ripping people off. I suppose if you are prepared to pay this price then you don't consider yourself as being ripped off.

AQll I can say is, eBay has a lot to answer for.

Last November I bought a 1973 GT6 Mk111 'convertable' much to the wifes chagrin. I 'informed' her about two weeks of collecting it!!
It was my Christmas present to myself!

When I drive it people have commented that I have a permanent smile.  What due you expect with twin stainless straight-thru's.

The purple peril is looking forward to LM this year.

Jerry

PS.  I'd post a pic if I knew how to.

Sorry to ask,

But when did Triumph make a convertable GT6? Huh

They did make TR, Vitesse,Spitfire, Bergerac one (+ pre war ones) and the good old HERALD (mines a 13/60 with damaged bootlid)

It's a Spitfire body on a GT6 chassis. Always called a GT6 convertible rather than a Spitfire 6cylinder. Probably because the GT6 is the more valuble car!

Rhino,

You are allmost 100% on that.

About 16yrs ago it had a major rebuild and I presume the guy thought that is was gonna be a good summer.

Only things not GT6 are rear deck/boot and obviously the softtop.

You can always tell a car that has had this done by looking at the doors, GT6's had quarterlights.

I'm still having problems posting photos, any ideas?

Jerry

You have to host the pics on a web site somewhere.  I use muchos.co.uk and/or photobucket.com.  These are freebie pic-hosting sites and both easy to use.  I prefer the latter as it automatically resizes pics that are too big.  Once uploaded, just click on the '[img]' box under the pic, and paste it into your post.

Seconded D/B : Photobucket is very easy for forum posting.  I use flickr too but they're much more fussy about copyright issues so it's links only from them nowadays.

I have sold quite a few old tickets on ebay over the last few years, nothing as recent as this one but I always had a surprising amount of interest.
