Yep I did. But that's a general 5.1 surround, and will defenitly blast your ears of in a normal livingroom, but I'm not sure whether it will have the same effect when we play a nice movie in open air ;) But it will be a nice thing to test. ;D

For music power I just bring some more speakers, as the amp I brought las year (which was only 800 watts IRW, not 1200) was still not running out full ;)

And for some tropicoma the volume rate is negotiable. :P

This film should be played at high volume, so don't come complaining about it! And who the hell is Steve?

Where we camp your're lucky to get anything to grow as the ground is so bl**dy barren and hard.  Its like an industrial waste tip.
Hmm, I thought we were gonna get all cosy this year :-\

Paddy, no probs in getting cosy, just reporting on the state of the ground, I may even bring some astro turff along with plastic flowers to make homely for you. xxxx

To bring this pack on topic  ;D

We'll be on MB but survive without electricity (although if somone will let me come vist and use their electricity for my hairdryer a couple of times I'd be very happy!!).

Plus - I wouldn't want to be THAT close to Paddy and the rest of DfH!!

 ;D  Just a little  ;D

I just don't fancy being too close to your speakers! ;D   We spent 2003 alongside some Danes on Houx and their music was so loud ALL nigh that the ground was vibrating under me as I tried to sleep!!

I have developed that art of sleeping in ear defenders so it's not so much of a problem now!  ;D

I'm sure someone on this site sells generators for a living, he was discussing how good Honda's are.

Its a good idea, but like the others who, are also on the ACO MB waiting and waiting waiting list, we may need a long extension lead.
If you're going through hell, keep going.

I'm not worried. Got an address where I can probably leave things untill two weeks prior to Le Mans. For the second year running the guy told me in January I was bl00dy early with my booking for June - and to remind him later in the year.

TeamJPC and us can go three ways:
  • 30kVA with possibility to please others as well
  • 15kVA just for our two teams
  • rent that noisy f*cker again from last year and have our own power support
Bottom one is cheapest, middle one is most expensive, so top one is preferrable :)

Paddy, JPC - I am sure the flying baguettes would take you up on this, we take a small 1.5KVA genny but were planning to upgrade it this year. If we can get a spot close to you guys then we would be happy to contribute. Keep me informed please.

30kva seems very big, I've been to building sites which have used smaller generators than this. At this size make sure it is super silenced, otherwise you might be suprised by the noice.

What about hiring a unit at Le Mans, there are some hire companies down there, one that i remember is Loxam, they hire access platforms and general plant. The only problem is the cost - hire, transport, insurance. Anybody work for Loxam or HSS in the UK?
If you're going through hell, keep going.

Could be mine in my garage between 2 JPC (empty) fridges !!!
Le Mans is life, anything before and after is just waiting...

According to my calculations 30 kVa is about 24000 watts (about 0.8 per 1kVA). Going of my 'normal' site of 1 fridge and a few lights which runs of my 650W genny, that means you have enough to power nearly 37 pitches. I realise that the JPC and DFH will use a bit more than the average pitch, but thats a lot of electricity. What are you planning this year. Are the Flying Baguettes having a 'Pink Floyd' light show? A Mira power shower would be nice.
