Chaps are bracing to defend the ramparts against the invading political hordes next year after this week's announcement but, in advance of that, all efforts are directed at best wishes to you.  Take care and all the best,

MG Mark

Just thought I'd give a relatively quick update.

The good news is I'm alive and the treatment continues.  Don't want to incur Murphies law, but...

No LM, no travel and no lots of other things.  Passed one of the key milestones of surviving the initial 12 months of treatment.  Another Donor lymphocyte infusion (DLI) tomorrow, you can google it, it helps bolster the immune system and help fight off the cancer cells still left inside me.  Followed by a Vene Section and draw a unit of blood off, too much iron, so no guiness for me.

My immune system has not fully recovered and my Chimera count is below 100% which means keeping clear of ill people and there is quite a bit of the old me floating about in the bone marrow, hence the need for DLI's.

Just wish I could have a glass of beer, out walking last night along the sea front and it would have been a good way to end the evening.  Fizzy water is really good....

Going to see the Ferrari again this Friday, she still is under going renovation so might get a drive or two before the end of summer.

Have a good LM, I don't envy you one little bit, not really.

If any of you are feeling generous the cancer team that are doing a magnificent job careing for me are in the need of £2.2 million, we've just finished rasing £5.5 million, so the 2.2 shouldn't be that difficult?

and if you have a strong stomach, I'm in the video, don't worry about the tube going into my nose, it didn't stay down for long, hadn't eaten for a few weeks and needed nutrients  http://tinyurl.com/3234jm3

Thank you, really good to hear the progress and the news - I'll certainly get on to the first link when I get get away from work and onto the home computer which allows me to look at such links - but I'll probably pass on the second link....look forward to hearing about the first trip back out in the Ferrari, which I have no doubt will be one to especially savour.  All the best,

Mark

Like Mark I will probably "pass" on watching the second one   :D

But I am glad to see this long awaited update

It will be great for you to get your "long awaited" drive too, especially if you cab arrange a warm evening along the coast for it

I will not be "over there" this year either but am planning an assault on my neighbours with big TV outside in the tent in the garden, Motors TV or Eurosport, whatever

Keep up the good work

Glad things are (vaguely at least) going to plan!
