...but back to the race at hand.
Can you smell the orange blossoms yet?

1987 - 5th Place - Porsche 962 - Akin/Weaver/Shelton

1989 - 52nd Place (from 2nd) - Nissan GTP-ZXT - Luyendyk - only 14 laps, suspension failure.

The sister #83 car won the race, in the team's first attempt.

more tomorrow

87/89 is my favorite era.  Please can I have something from the early 90s as I can't remember what was running  (Fangio Jr's Toyotas?).  In those days there must have been Sebring, Daytona and the Miami Grand Prix, all in one state.  Wasn't Derek Bell in Miami Vice?

Okay Lee & Randy, you got me convinced with those pictures. Obviously I am too late for this Sebring Race, but are there any recent pictures ('05) available to show what it is like today with fencing and camping and stuff? Cool

Btw Randy, finished the printwork on McQueen Sr. today - Pieter will bring that one definitely. Pic of print will follow tomorrow...

Fencing? What the hell is that?  Must be a French thing Wink
Sorry, not many photos of debris fencing at Sebring because there isn't any.  Still allowed close enough to the cars to actually see them without binoculars.  Spectating is still like it was in those pics.

As Fax has said not much catch fencing here. All these are taken from speccy areas. Not media passes needed. I will take one if someone wants to give me one though !

Not Corvette behind the Aston Martin.

Sorry for picture quality, I need practise with pixels and resizing
