Spectator point of view pictures ?
« on: April 21, 2006, 09:00:20 am »
Im looking for lemans pictures taking by spectatores. I ve lots of professionals pictures, but I want to take a look at what you really can see or not from different spots on the track.

I ve been in Cheste and Montmelo many times and you really find the good spots after three or four visits. And with Lemans been so big, I want to wait four years to find good locations  :P

btw, do you know where to find Beausejour pictures ?

Just ordered my tickets and Im really exited  ;D ;D ;D

Good lord!  :o

Please tell me the fences aren't that far from the track in all the spectator areas.
I stole DelBoy's lighter and lived to tell the tale.

OK Chop - I'll tell you.

The fences aren't that far from the track in all the spectator areas.......but most of them are now.  Out at Arnage, you can stand only a few feet away from the cars/track, and along the pit straight you are a bit closer.  Don't know what it's like at Tertre Rouge these days - been a while since I've been round that way.  Used to be great at the esses until they messed it up a few years back, but now you almost need binoculars.

Chop, don't let that put you off coming over (we did warn you  ;) )

There are plenty of decent vantage points, they just need to be found.  Especially good - and a great sense of the speed of the cars - is past the Mulsanne Corner on the way to Indianappolis, but be prepared to drive there.

See my Webshots Le Mans photos for a feel of what sort of views you can achieve all around (most of ) the circuit.
