If we are continuing with the original topic, then what did everyone think of the hydrogen powered honda? (apart from the fact that it looked like a punto :-X)

I bet the backwards shootout was cos they had a skoda to give away (and not the golf) and the golf was faster going forwards.

Just call me a cynic.....
Of course I buy green cars, my Aston is green, my MGB is green, my Disco Sport is green,  oh, that's not what you meant by green?

well that was pretty much it
the golf was a second quicker forwards, they said that before the backwards laps, for some reason they seem to think that we wanna create a new trend in driving fast backwards ::)
(or the fact that the skoda was £3500 cheaper!!)

But what about the Corvette.

Superb value even if I can't afford one - and the performance.
Its about as close as I will get to a road going C6R.

Rob make this a Poll, >:( only you can edit the basis of the thread!

Either, I will ask the question or I will get one off the moderators to do it!!

I would be interested to see the landslide victory of Fifth Gear!

it wasnt supposed to be a thread to decide which was better, its just a general discussion about each program thread unless peeps wanna vote?!

btw what do people think is the best presenter combo and why?

Fifth Gear without a doubt.  VBH gives women drivers a good name.  Tiff, male crumpet for ladies of a certain age (moi), Jace for the younger ones.  TG _ Clarkson is probably the most irritating, self important git on telly - cannot watch this programme 'cos he's on.  So often gets his facts wrong to boot.  And I want to see CARS not so called "stars" - even if they are good.

i think both sets of presenters have their pro's n con's - clarkson is arrogant, yes but hammond and may are pretty good, and the 3 of them work well together, whereas on fg they never actually talk to each other - theyre always doing seperate stories. that said, the stories on fg generally have a lot more point to them which tg lacksas for the fg's presenters, i think vbh is pretty good, altho i cant stand jp cos he's such a cheating b*****d on the race track and hes pretty annoying, as is tn - who sealed his fate (i know he was told to do it by the producers, but  i dont care!) with the backwards shootout! i think the other guys name is tom broadmore? hes pretty good and lively.

i think tg is more entertaining and fg is generally more factual
