My personal preference would be to have all requests and offers in single Sell and Buy threads, although it might get a bit messy. But I have no way of stopping New Posts to sell/buy, and continually merging them would take time I don't have...

In practice your intention is not realisable. Just look at this thread. It contains offers, chat, notices of PMs, God knows what, all mixed up together. Consequently someone wanting tickets has to sift though it all to know what's on offer and whether the tickets are still available.
Far better to have each offer on a separate thread, and for you to insist that the vendor posts once the tickets are sold.
