The Lap !

We arrived Thursday 11.30 as per normal, the rookies managed to get stopped for speeding, which was a tour first for us !

We got to houx, put up tents, plugged in the fridge and then set off to Carrefour.  At this point we normally offer the rookies the chance of a squirt around the parts of the track that you can get to, so we decided to do the same again this year.

Off we toddled to the slip road at Terte Rouge that allows access on to the Mulsanne, the gate was open so on we went.......

Only to be stopped by the RS4 Safety Car that was going past at that very moment.........driver got out of his car......then signalled to us...to follow him (and boy did he shoot off).  So we did all the way around the track (which was still closed) behind him, full racing line on every bend etc, yes THE WHOLE TRACK including the pit straight, under the Dunlop bridge etc etc until we got back to Terte Rouge.

What an absolutley fantastic experience, and great way to start the weekend.

So if anyone saw 4 cars following the Safety Car around on Thursday at about 1 ish it was us !

cool what a way to experiance Le-mans for the virgins, going to have to work hard to better that next year.
