Who'll be at the Nurburgring 1000km this weekend?
« on: July 11, 2006, 11:47:36 am »
Have we done this already? I can't find it if we have...

I'm travelling Dover Boulougne on Friday evening, overnight in St Omer, and should arrive at the track mid to late afternoon Saturday, where I will start DfH.  :P

I'm heading for the same camping we used last year.

I'm guessing Werner & hgb as well as DfH. Anyone else?

Unfortunately I still can't confirm, I might need to go on a business trip >:(

Oh no Werner, that no good news...   :-\

The weekend will be quite compressed, see here for the schedule:
http://www.lmes.net/uk/nurburgring/programme.asp

The support program looks cr@p to me.

I'll be there on friday but just to deliver the cakes. Then back on early saturday morning. I'll camp at the same place as you, smokie and DfH.

The weather forecast promises LM like weather.

It seems that there's a very nice support program
at Spa (just 140 kms away), see here: http://www.spa-francorchamps.be/spahistoric/site_uk/index.htm
I don't care - I'm a racing driver and I'm here to win, not to finish third.

...and only €10! Maybe I'll leave St Omer early and drop by for a few hours on my way to Nurburgring!!

I'd love to go, but can't. :(
I've come to believe that Le Mans is the centre of the universe.

Gab, I'm sure we could arrange a footy tournament at the Ring.

Just checked the timings & route. Spa is definitely do-able en route for Nurburg so I may get an early start and go there.

So if I stay to the end of Spa (17:25) I may not arrive at the camping until 19:30. I have paddy's & hgb's numbers in my phone so will call when I arrive. I guess you will be at the bar at the top of the camping... ::)

Do you think I will have a problem getting into the camping at that time, without a booking?

I think you'll have a problem looking at their website: http://www.camping-am-nuerburgring.de/ :-\

I'll ask on arrival, and if needed will get you tickets.

I did, it's all foreign to me!  ??? ???

It'd be great if you got me a ticket Paddy - however what if the front gate is closed???

Maybe I should drop the Spa idea...
