Wishing I was still in bed sleeping instead of at my desk with a hangover.
Snap. A particularly heavy night last night.

What's your excuse Mark? I was out with a few friends saying goodbye to one of them who leaves for Basra tomorrow.
Doris,
Good for you, and I do hope the deployment goes well for your friend. My excuse is straightforward really. In common with the guys I work with, working in the great building in London, we no longer have the joy of a Mess to fall over in, like at Marham. Some of us commute in and out of the smoke daily, some have a flat in town and get home at weekends. We simply decided that as it was ages since we had had a good piss-up and put the world to rights, we trundled round to one of the guy's flats for a meal and far too much alcohol. I think we finally knocked it on the head at about 0200 when the brandy ran out. 'Twas a fine session putting the world to rights, for which we are now paying the price.....
