Just ten days before 2009s' race, there was a serious difference of opinion between team members that meant major re-alignment of personnel. Eventually only two of the original five went. A major problem was one the bods who pulled out owned the caravan we were taking. Fortunately I found a company in Normandy that rent touring caravans at very reasonable rates. A fully kitted four berth 'van with awning, full gas bottle and patio furniture was £200 for a week. I worked out that this is cheaper than taking a 'van on the ferry. It does mean a bit of extra driving the other side, but I reckon it is worth it. Cashmores Caravans is owned by Chris and Maggie, ex-pat Brits, so no language barrier.
The website is easy to find via Google.
They really saved my 2009 Le Mans trip!! Grin
