Hybrid first win

Is this the future of Motorsport? Toyota have won a 24 hour race with a modified Supra. I wonder if the recent news that a GTone car was running in France is connected, it could prove a base mark to judge how quick a potential new hydrid system would be.

Toyota are getting very serious with the hybrid concept and the sportscar featured in detroit looked a very handy piece of kit. It really cannot be long until someone follows in Panoz's footsteps with Hybrid at Le Mans.

Some people will tell you that slow is good - and it may be, on some days - but I am here to tell you that fast is better.

Considering the fact that car manufacturers will increasingly consider the environment, it will find its way to racing as well. Racing is perfect for showing you can be consious of the environment AND outperform others at the same time. It's a great marketing tool. Look what Audi and Peugeot are doing with views on diesel!

James May has a lot to answer for on his invention.

The mast and sails come from a 'Mirror' dinghy that weights about the same as a Herald bonnet!!!!!
At my age, it takes me all night to do what I used to do all night!!!!!!!!!!!
Then, growing old is compulsary, but growing up is just optional.

I don't do GREEN, I've got a 4x4
