well its that time of year again for me at least to get axcited about the new season starting tomorrow although the best team is a league below the premiership i still do my annual fantasy league, if anyone fancies joining in you just need a £10 classic team at www.fantasyleague.com and then request to join my league whose PIN is 1654 i am sure to get flamed for even mentioning the old game with a ball but hey i enjoy it.......

So Matt do you think the Bengals have sorted out their frailties in defence then? I'm not so sure but I do have high hopes that Southampton will go up at the end of the season to take their rightful place in the premiership.

So Matt do you think the Bengals have sorted out their frailties in defence then? Erm...... no. However, I think they are so strong in offence that, assuming their receivers and running backs don't all get arrested (Bengals players are really very accomplished in the arts of domestic violence, DUI, gun-play, common assault etc), they should be able to overpower most of their Divn on points scoring - though I do worry about Baltimore.... Our QB Carson Palmer is much better than Payton Manning was at this stage in his career, so I am optimistic. Good luck to the Saints, Dave. When I lived in Blighty, Nottingham Forest was my team - so I lived through the emotional ups and downs that you Soton fans are familiar with - you will note that I have continued my masochism, in my allegiance to the Bungles. I don't think you should fear a roasting over this thread either. It has equal relevance to sportscar racing as 100+ pages of knackered-van worship. Who Dey?

you saw through my abvious lack of knowledge, i will look them up and try to contribute more meanfully next time, a refreshing change to all this petrol based nonsense.
Good friend of mine is a Forest Season Ticket holder, the pain he has been through in past years is enough to make you cry. Saints have rebuilt well since our demotion and now with stable management and no Rupert Lowe i do think the future is far brighter, and our squad is also stable and looks to be doing what is needed, playoffs last year were lost on penalties which is always painful, but another year down might do us good i reckon.

Hey Matt, Good to hear your still on the Bengal bandwagon (unlike your brother who jumps ship to which ever city he lands in ) The starting squad looked good in the pre-season opener against the Lions, however we took a big hit losing our second round draft pick, running back Kenny Irons for the season with a torn ACL. Carson looks very, very sharp. Fax

Sorry dave, but Saints belong in the Championship. I used to go to the Dell regularly in the late 80's early 90's. But only to worship Matt Le Tiss. and watch him single handedly keep Saints in the top flight. I will never forgive that TW*T Graham Taylor for picking Carlton Palmer for England ahead of Le God, he said Carlton was more of a worker. I see from Matt Harper's post above that Carlton Palmer is now playing for the Bengals, that's taking workrate to the extreme if you ask me. Anyway, watch and marvel in the glory days. This is why it's called The Beautiful Game- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXdKBPL1wcg&NR=1

Hmm, odd, because I don't recall insinuating that anyone was 'as dumb as dogshit', as you so eruditely phrased it. I think your ill-educated and rabidly biased rantings are the result of an addled brain - most probably caused by subjection to years of mind-numbing tedium, sometimes referred to as Cricket. The fact that some people (even known to this forum) will spend hard-earned money on travel to third-world countries for the privilege of suffering the slow tortures of virtual death by boredom, combined with dysentery, show what utter ass-clowns they really are. Where else can a game grind on for five f*cking days and still end in a draw, for Christ's sake? If you just lifted your bigotry goggles momentarily and took a look at the NFL game, Zarse, you will discover it's depth, strategy, drama, spectacle and colour.

PS The Hook Line and Sinker's a very nice bar in St Thomas, USVI. I visited it earlier this year whilst on a cricketting break to the third world.

Not been to that one, but a nice guy in Florida introduced us to this one - But you have to watch the fences around it, I'm sure they were at 5ft tall or bigger!

WTF!! The Fish on Fire?? Ignorring the practical difficulties, why set a fish on fire? They might as well call their watering hole The Dog Having It's Teeth Pulled Out Tavern? Or maybe The Gorilla With A Leg Caught In A Man Trap So It Can Have It's Hands Cut Off To Make Ashtrays Inn.
The American Humane Society shall hear of this!
