Can this forum support wiki's?

Pistonheads have one for ferry crossings so it makes it easy to see if you are on a popular crossing or perhaps travelling alone!

So if it can support one and someone knows how to start it off it would be a good idea to start one for crossings and perhaps convert the "campsite" thread.

Editing the PH wiki was very easy.

I have no idea. We're restricted with what we can do as all admin is carried out by Lennaerts, and has to be agreed by Dave Davies (Grand Fromage)first. There were a number of improvements suggested last year but nothing new yet. I may be meeting DD in the next few weeks and will raise these questions again.

I strongly support the Wiki idea - It would also make the CA Guide Project a lot easier, because all authors could do work on the text directly online.

Cheers

I'm not entirely sure what a Wiki is, but if some of the useful information could be retained, rather than lost in the depths of these threads, its got my vote

Although the wiki from Brian's link contains a spreadsheet, a wiki is not just a spreadsheet. The biggest and most well known wiki is wikipedia.

A wiki is essentially a database for creating, browsing, and searching through information.

And I definately support the use of wiki's here, it would be of great use :)

Interesting  - I noticed NickLiv is on the Tuesday sailing on the PH wiki, but on Wednesday on the Final Campsite Decision thread  ???

It's a good idea I reckon, good to know who else may be on your crossing  ;)
