Andy Zarse's favourite recipe

1 reblochon (or similar cheese of choice)
500g potatoes, peeled and sliced
2 medium onions, halved and finely sliced
250g bacon, chopped
Oil for frying


Recipe :
Preheat the oven to 200°C
Fry the onions until soft, add the bacon and cook for a further 10 minutes. Remove fro pan and set aside.
Fry the potatoes in a little oil until browned.
Arrange the potatoes, onions and bacon in an oven-proof dish.
Slice/grate the cheese and layer over the potatoes.
Bake for 25 minutes

Tried it for my tea. It went great with a dollop of tomato sauce  ;D
They have lumps of what round the back???

Try with "Fromage pour Tartiflette" and some smoked Paprika chucked in at the onion cooking stage. Real man Fodder... especially if finished under the grill with grated par?... (hard Italian cheese!) sprinkled over the top. Hungry now.... bugger! ;D

I've got some reblochon in the fridge, I'll have a go at this in the next few days and report back.  If I don't you'll know it was a bit dodgy  :-\

I think he doth protest to much with his anti French sentiment.

I happened to spot that within a few miles of his front door, and maybe the reason he moved to his current location this..........
