Anyone know the difference in time and distance from Calais to Le Mans if avoiding the toll roads?

No Sorry.  I can tell you even with the cost of the extra petrol and the Tolls it a lot cheaper that way then via Pommey Caen.

Via Michelin says.............

Calais-Le Mans 4h0m (424km) quickest with 3h32m (407km) on motorways
Calais-Le Mans 5h52m (418km) avoiding tolls with 1h1m (111km) on motorways

Via Michelin's about right imo.  2 hours difference, possibly a bit more depending on traffic levels which, of course, are high.
