I spoke to the rest of the JPC team at 6 o'clock and he had been released from hospital and was on his way to the circuit.

The car apparently aquaplaned off the motorway in a heavy downpour and bounced off the central reservation, the concrete barrier, and back to the central reservation again.

Kev sounded to be the most battered of the car's occupants but even he is just strapped up and fine apparently.  Although I doubt that the next few nights sleeping on a blow-up bed will be very comfortable.  Just bumps and bruises so no damage done that won't heal - apart from to the car which after all is just metal and can be replaced.

Roll Eyes Glad to hear that they seem to be all OK.

A few Tropicomas should help brighten up the weekend again. Remember cars can be properly fixed, but JPC is the only one who can fix a proper Tropicoma  Evil Wink

I saw Mark last night, he was somewhat subdued and shaken by the whole episode, but only suffered a cracked rib. At least it's only the car that was seriously damaged...

Glad to hear everyone was ok. We drove past the scene after the accident when the vehicle was starting to be recovered it looked like a massive impact. I have to say from the state of the Subaru and the sand being put on the road that we feared the worst for those on board.

Hope you all enjoyed Le Mans anyway. The car can be replaced - bodies not so easy.

Even a high speed crash can't stop him singing Mustang Sally. Is there nothing that will save us from that song?  Grin
