For the 'what to take, what to leave behind' section, may I suggest the insertion of 'More spare underpants' into Bobs personal copy.

I can actually do that ;D

Request for help: I think the new "Formula Le Mans" deserves a mention in the 2009 CA Guide. Could someone write a short chapter (1 page, max 2 pages is enough) about this new formula, the idea behind it, specs of the car and all that stuff -  I think it's all somewhere on the web. I think Termie has probably some pictuers of these cars from her visit at the Bugatti Test day.

Edit: This is solved, Bas will write something!

Cheers, nice weekend everybody

Werner

Just emailled some new words to update the Tertre Rouge campsite section - let me know if you don't get the email.

The pictures are a bit poor as I only had a mobile phone camera with me last year. Does anyone else have any better quality shots of this campsite?

Hi all

another request for help: Last years CA Guide had a 1-page chapter for those who had to stay at home with a summary of TV, Radio and Internet Le Mans coverage. Could someone please compile a similar page for this year and mail it to me so I can publish it in the Guide? EDIT 5th May:: This will be done by Nickliv now

Cheers and I wish everybody a good start into the week

Hi Werner

Quick question (?).  It says on the project page that "The 2009 edition of the CA Le Mans Guide will be ready for download here on Tuesday after the test day 2009 somewhen late evening!"

However I cannot find the date of the test day - apart from those in March & April.

Do you know yet when the guide will be published?

Kind regards and keep up the great work!
Pietro

The Test Day was scheduled for 31 May, and then cancelled. So the Tuesday after Test Day would be 2 June.

The "Lord Steve and AJW do Le Mans by public transport on the cheap" (Subtitled - thanks for the support Bas) article has gone into production and will be ready for the 2010 Edition. I was wondering if there's anything worth submitting for this year's edition but there probably isn't anything worth putting in unless you want a preamble.

For the last 4 years I've been camping at 'Campsite Mulsanne' and the last guide said if anyone stays there then please let us know how it was.  Well here I am!

As it says, it's a very long way away from the main village but there are some plus's and minus!

+ points
There's no allocated spaces for camping so stop where ever you feel like (good if you get there early)
There is a large mound right up in the corner of the race track which is higher than the fence so if you are into your photography it's a good spot.
Usually rip off burger/beer stall.
Newspaper stand for the local french rag.
Near some cracking boozers and restaurants possible quieter than others due to it be farther out.
Perhaps not as many pickeys as other site and it's remote
Cheeeeeeep.  29 euro's per tent! bargain... I'll take three.
Friendly atmos!! urrr...

- points
Can get busy and disorganised camp site as you can pitch where you want (get there early!)
Toilet's: 1 mens with 1 poo house and 2 urinals.  1 women's with 3 poo houses, 1 shower unit!!!  6-8 spaces with hot water!!!!!!!!! (not till Thursday though)
Noisy - (isn't it every where?)
No power points.
1 tap in the site!! (yes, just the one but just drink beer)
