Anybody know a neat way to capture a still image from a dvd recording?  I have Roxio software but can't work out a quick way to do this.  Any ideas?  It's probably easy but I'm no techie. ::)

Lorry

I tried several things (inc Roxio) as printscreen doesn't work and in the end bought a cheap copy (a year or two old) of Ulead Photostudio from Amazon for about £7.  Works a treat

If you're running MS Vista, try the Snipping Tool.  Play and pause the video in Media Player. Then snip the screen shot you want.

In Vista, Start - Accessories - Snipping Tool.

Dead easy.

Still on XP, Steve.  I have U-lead so will give that a go.
Cheers all.

ive never tried this but i assume it would work. VLC media player should play dvd's. once in the player click "video" > "snapshot"

the image goes to some default place that you can change. mine goes directly to "my pictures" folder

Well, I'd love to be able to say I've got at least one of the above to work but sadly not.  Humph.  Two of my players have screen capture in theory but neither works.  Ulead I just can't figure out at all which explains why I've never used it.  Video Lan wouldn't play anything, let alone capture it. Just a total computer dunce I'm afraid. >:(
