Nice pics - I see you found the tribune we recommended just on the finish corner - the catch fencing is annoying, but the location does give a good view of three corners and the start/finish.

Certainly looks like you had a great time and got to see some of the great parts of 'our little corner of the world' and enjoyed some excellent weather too.

cheers m8, we had a smashing time. we found that tribune by utter fluke  Smiley , we were told by some one to park near the river and walk but when i saw the size of the hill i thought sod that and we jumped back in the car and parked further round, a french bloke saw us looking at our map and just pointed up a road so we stolled up it and within seconds found ourselfs at the conker tree hair pin. Brill event, gonna have to go again  Smiley

came back with plenty of Pineau so that should keep the wife happy for a while  Grin

looks like a fantastic trip. The town where the SS flattered it seems creepy really but also slightly mysterious Smiley

Your absolutely right m8, we did the Normandy war grave a couple of years back and that felt strange enough but this place really brings it home and to add insult to injury the story we heard while down there was that the SS managed to do all this to the wrong town.

the fires must have been ferocious, here's a pic of the church bell
