hmm fortunately I'm too old to submit to their sensuous blandishments

and my heart belongs to another

but it could be fun to resist  8)

but nay, I were thinking of a "Popemobile Two" in a slightly more Barbie pink and "old Number One" in convoy

Trundling their merry way along whatever the host country are calling the N138 these days

Maybe I should get the Panther but have you seen the MPG'age of one of those lately, dammit there's a recession on  they tell me.

Spoke to a guy today who has a white Rolls Royce which he uses for wedding, say's he is often asked for a pink Roller.

And worse, he is thinking of getting one in the future.

Is his name 'Parker' by chance?

I wish I had my camera with me, it was late Saturday night at Sebring....I saw the Pope, he was looking for the protection of his Popemobile.  My husband was the only one around who knew what I was talking about when I got excited to see him.  Hope he shows up at LeMans.....

ommmmmmm
ommmmmmm
ommmmmmm

a prediction has just slapped me like a wet tangoing

I predict that as you get used to driving the Bedford and its quirky box it will actually drive faster than you are expecting

The "reach behind your left buttock and swing the stick into place" motion soon becomes somewhat easier and the engine will enjoy doing a bit, a bit more.

I agree with Perdu, the gear change takes a bit of time to get used to.

LPP, have you sorted out the DVLA 'Operators Lisense' etc? Even privatly owned it must be plated etc.

My man, I don't do religion, thats what the wifey is for. Cardinal will be sufficient.

[Edit]  As the frenchies are mainly catholic, I would advise not placing 'Popemobile' anywhere on the dear ol'e motor, antagonistic comes to mind. We as CA know it's the PM and will address as such in reverence to it's LM history.

Would suggest 'Popey'.

Afterall, you wouldn't want to get barracaded on journeys on thier 'home ground' by the populas or the CRS, would you?

I know where your comming from though, but! ;D

Much like Lady PP, it has a lovely gearbox ;) and changing cogs was ever so easy with a good click click up and down change. The speed issue comes from its huge fat body and aerodynamic disability. Simon says it will hit 60mph but you have no steering as the plate glass and steel viewing area makes it so ass heavy. Perhaps wheelie bars would be an option... my drive back will tell all. Sure I will have an essay to type after that... and I hope lots of you will be there for the arrival.
